Antique Roman Spatha 2nd century sword replica with scabbard & baldric
Possibly because of the barbarian or germanic influence, battle technique and sword shape evolved toward the end of the 2nd century AD. Blades became longer and swords were carried on the left side. Our replica follows originals dated around the 2rd century. The blade is made of steel. The hilt is made of handcarved bone. The wooden scabbard is covered in leather and riveted with authentic brass ornaments.
