Segmentated cuirass Lorica Segmentata (Type Kalkriese)
Very authentic replica of a roman Lorica Segmentata (roman clasp armour) following originals from approx. 9 A.D. found in Kalkriese, Germany.
The Lorica Segmentata was in use in the roman army for about 200 years.
Kalkriese is a presumed site of the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. In contrary to later versions, e.g. from Newstead, the armours from Corbridge and Kalkriese are adjustable in size. Our replica is fitting with a chest girth of 116 cm to 120 cm (approx. 45,66" - 47,25"). Of course it should always be measured the final chest girth considering all padded cloth.
